Happy accidents can happen. My hubby and our friends drove up to Lake Superior in hopes of seeing auroras but soon after dark, it was still cloudy so we were just hoping for clear skies. The sky did clear and then there was magic to be had.
Auroras are not the only amazing thing in our skies, just the most colorful. Even that isn’t as colorful without a camera. We were in dark skies, though, and the lack of the aurora lights allowed us to see the Milky Way. We were on the wrong side of Lake Superior to actually see the Milky Way Core, but the magic wasn’t even from that.. The magic was

All in all it was a good evening. Good friends, good snacks, it was a good day, honestly, but the fireflies made it magic.
