I met a new friend, Christy E. She says we met in a group on NextDoor, but I cannot find the group. I do remember starting something about astrophotography in Isanti but I have no idea where. It sucks getting old. Anyway, we were practically neighbors (a few towns apart but when one lives out in the country, that’s close as sisters.) We decided to meet at the Sunflower farm. Fortunately and surprisingly, it wasn’t too hot and I actually enjoyed myself. We definitely hit it off and had lots of fun.
Christy introduce me to Kristine Rose Photography‘s training in earlier this month. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be the best free training I have ever had.
I learned so much. I have always been able to see the Milky Way, it’s the thicker area of stars that goes across the sky, but I didn’t know about the Milky Way Core or Milky Way Season. I definitely didn’t know the best way to photograph it. I didn’t know settings to start with or how to focus. All the little details of making a photograph.
Anyway, Christy found this location, this Snake River Church. We took tons of photos, various locations around the church and even some “selfies”.

I’ve learned a lot about post editing. My photos have greatly improved with everything I have learned about post-editing from Kristine Rose. I signed up for her Photoshop 101 Classes.
